I haven't even downloaded the demo because I want to go into it totally fresh. It's bad enough that Wired and other sources have already ruined what is presumably one of the game's later plot points. I bought the novelization already, but have it sitting on my shelf - this is one instance where I'll read the book second, mostly because I'm interested to see the multiple endings that LucasArts has promised, and then read the "true" canon version of the story.
