Kiefer Sutherland one step closer to being the greatest badass ever

In addition to being the unstoppable Jack Bauer on 24, owning a record company, telling David Letterman about getting drunk and tackling a Christmas tree, and being a huge hockey fan, Jack Bauer is now getting more involved in the world of video games. Following the somewhat disappointing (because it was only on Sony consoles, fuckers!) 24: The Game, Kiefer is back lending his voice to the upcoming Call of Duty: World at War. Activision announced the deal during their E3 press conference last night, saying the game is going for a more gritty feel than previous entries. No word yet on whether or not Kiefer’s character breaks out some Bauer-like torture scenes to increase that gritty factor, but I guess we’ll find out.

Oh, and, though it was revealed earlier in the day during Nintendo’s press conference, Activision confirmed that co-op play will be coming to all consoles, and online co-op for up to four will also be available (presumably only on the 360 and PS3).

Thanks to 1up for the info.

Jack rocks. Too bad the last season of 24 got soooo convoluted that I seriously started losing interest. Continuously trying to top previous season in terms of suspense and drama is just getting old. I mean they’ve already detonated a nuclear weapon on US soil and shot the President. And everyone is like a triple-double-agent. How much worse is it going to get?

I don’t know man, I still like it, even if it did get a bit messy. I’m real sad that they cancelled this year, but there’s going to be a filler TV-movie this fall at some point to kind of bridge the gap between 6 and 7. Or, as my mom suggested, it’ll be a way for them to get rid of all the footage they originally had from season 7 and just start over! haha

Well, I’ll still watch it :) I just hope that they stop trying to top themselves just for the sake of topping themselves and get back to the core things that make the show kick ass. And if would help if they stopped their spree of killing off all the good characters at least for one season :)
