Government, you know not what you do!

According to an article over at Wired, the US Government is launching a project to profile gamer behavior in MMOs, with the eventual hope of being able to automatically weed out suspicious (i.e. terrorist-like) actions in virtual worlds.

Ok, commentary.

First of all, HA HA HA HA!

Second of all, I cannot BELIEVE someone over at National Intelligence is so stupid as to be bamboozled into this as an actual funded project.

Third, props to the guy who did the bamboozling. They’ll be on to you eventually and you will die a horrible death, but gamers everywhere will keep your memory alive… till the next WoW expansion pack hits the shelves.

Either way, what a great way to inject more money into the US economy (Blizzard is an American company after all). Now if Hillary Clinton just admitted that she’s got no chance in hell to be President and decided to sponsor a Halo 3 tournament instead of burning up cash in political ankle-biting, the world would finally get off of its head.
